The A&D Committee is charged by the LFA Board of Trustees to work with all LFA property owners and residents to preserve the beauty, harmony and aesthetic continuity of our community. If you plan to make changes to the outside of your home or to any part of the common area that surrounds your home, please consider this a friendly reminder that you must follow all Association rules and regulations put forth in our Founding Documents.​

If we can help you to understand the specifics related to this mission, please let us know. The LFA Community Handbook provides basic information regarding landscaping and planters, outdoor furniture, decorations and ornaments, and an earth-tone palette of approved colors.​

In addition, the handbook has guidelines for pre-approved materials for common repairs, as well as the requirements for submitting a plan for approval, whether simple or complex. You may also want to review the General Overview and Intent of Architecture and Design Standards statements in the Community Handbook. Additional details can be found in the Warranty Deed. If your plan is to merely provide upkeep or replacement of items already in place, assuming you are not making a substantive change to the existing landscape, there is no need for plan submission. Always check with A&D before beginning any project.​

If you would like to discuss a potential upcoming project, such as new planting beds, deck work, or any other building-related projects, please contact any member of the A&D Committee. Once you have submitted a plan you can expect a response relatively quickly — usually within a couple of days — and certainly within the 30-day maximum allowed by the Warranty Deed.
